Tallong’s Annual Apple Day Festival is always a winner in my little town. It was a good turn out even with a freezing day and the biting icy winds.

The highlight of the day was the fleece to garment competition, where there was a big woolly sheep, sheared and the fleece taken in to the spinners to make the wool to begin the knitting. Along with this there was the annual Apple pie eating competition with the new teacher at Tallong Public School taking out the coveted trophy and the myriad of Apple items cooked in the Bake off Competition Judge by celebrity chef Geoff Janz.
