Following Aaron and Chandni’s Hindu Ceremony at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Helensburgh today, I took them down to one of my favourite spots, the old abandoned train tunnels. I haven’t shot a bride and groom there before, and I am glad I saved it for these guys. A rainforest location shoot.
There’s mud, water, frogs, old railway tracks to balance on… and it’s in a rainforest. Not many brides would be keen to adventure in there. But this Bride, decked out in hot pink, with a million bangles and more jewellery on than any other bride I’ve shot, and a groom in gold embroidery took it on. And managed to come out as clean as they went in. (Almost. Aaron had been boasting on the way in about how good his balance skills were. Second step and he fell in. There was no more boasting after that- hey Aaron 😉 )
I am about to go to bed because in the morning I shoot their Church ceremony and second reception, but after uploading the images from today I thought I had to post a few shots. The light was beautiful, the couple were beautiful, the location was beautiful.
Have a look for yourself! And to Aaron and Chandni – thanks for braving the mud in literally your best clothes! And see ya in the morning for round 2!
