Bonnie + Brendan { South Coast Berry Wedding }

New Zealand is on the top of my list of places to visit (or maybe second after Japan). It has the gorgeous scenery, seems full of adventure and always looks like fun. And it must be a pretty romantic place, because it was while hiking in the fjords of New Zealand that Brendan finally plucked up the courage to propose to Bonnie.

Brendan and Bonnie chose have a south coast Berry wedding as they “wanted a wedding that people would make a weekend of and leave their worries behind, for everything to be easy in the one place with the least fuss possible and our guests to be well fed and watered.” If you haven’t been to Jaspers before, it is a gorgeous, relaxed spot nestled in beautiful bushland, with manicured gardens and an air of exotic class (thanks to the charm of their resident peacock!)

After the wedding Bonnie emailed me saying:

“When I think back to the wedding, what immediately comes to mind is the magical warm feeling of being surrounded by so many people who love you and wish the best for you.”

And I think she has hit the nail on the head. That really is one of the best things about celebrating your wedding day. Everyone there is wishing the best for you, celebrating you, hoping for the best for you. Getting married does give you magical warm feelings, and getting to capture some of that magic in images for the couples to relive in years to come is why I have the best job on earth.
