Michael + Sarah | Dunbar House

{ Winter Church Wedding } Mike grew up “over the back fence” of Bels Nanna’s house. Most Friday afternoons when we were there for tea he would jump the fence and come to play back yard cricket ‘one hand one bounce catch’ in the driveway with our family. So it was such a privilege to capture his marriage to his gorgeous fiancĂ© Sarah.

I knew I wanted to share some photos, so I emailed Mike a few questions for this blog. Rather than rewriting it I thought you would probably prefer to hear about their love story ‘straight from the horses mouth.’

“Sarah and I met down in Cronulla, Sarah was walking her dog Charlie and I stopped to pat Charlie as he came across my path and we spoke for a little bit. I asked Sarah for her number, and we went on our first date for sushi a few days after that.

I would say we both love how we can both laugh at each for silly things, our love of dogs and animals in general, which also tied into my proposal at Jamala Wildlife Zoo at Canberra on the 14th of July last year.

Our choice of Dunbar House was based on how elegant the venue was whilst also tying into the Church as well St. Peters where Sarah’s parents were married there in 1986. So it provided Sarah with the sentimental value of being married in the same church as her parents.”
