Claire and Brendan had their Boxgrove Bathurst wedding a few weeks ago and asked me along to capture it. I first met Claire and Brendan when they were in the bridal party of Lorin + Matt‘s wedding at my family’s orchard (The Orchard Farm).
Claire and Brendan live just up the road from me- in a little village called Wingello. But for a bit of fun they decided to take their wedding out Bush to celebrate at the gorgeous Boxgrove Bathurst wedding venue. Claire looked so stunning in her hand made dress created by Danielle Hewitt (another Southern Highlands local!). After the ceremony we jumped on the back of their utes for a paddock bash around the farm. It was great fun, and a nice relaxing arvo in the sun.
It made me think that this is an awesome way to support our drought stricken farming districts- if you are about to start planning a wedding why not look west? Country weddings are so relaxed, fun, and give you more time with your guests as everyone can make a weekend of it. And as it supports the rural communities it’s a win win. Plus- nothing beats a country sunset!
