Ciaran and Nadias Bodalla Farm wedding down the South Coast was pretty special. I’d met them at a wedding I shot a couple of years ago, and when they contacted me about capturing their day, I was stoked to hear it would be down Bodalla.
Since becoming parents, we’ve taken Bud and Pip camping near the coast each year, so they get to grow up with a bit of beach time (as we live on a farm a couple of hours from the coast). Bodalla is right near where we camp, and last summer I caught up with C + N over a milkshake at the Bodalla Dairy Shed while Bel and the kids had some ice cream in the next booth. And so a couple of weeks ago I headed back down to capture their big day on a farm across the road from where our meeting was. It’s stunning countryside, and always makes me feel relaxed, although seeing the normally lush pasture brown and dry was a reminder of the terrible drought that we are in.
As far as bridal parties go, Ciaran and Nadia have excellent taste in friends. Their crew were exceptional, up for a challenge and didn’t balk at any of my crazy suggestions. I feel like I can get away with anything when bridal parties are just loving life like these guys were. There may have been a pretty solid face plant stack during one of our running races, but everyone kept smiling and we had a great time.
Ciaran and Nadia have something special together, you could just tell by how they looked at each other, and it made it such a treat to capture them at their Bodalla farm wedding.
Thanks so much for inviting me to hang out on your big day guys!
