{ Audley Dance Hall Wedding Photographer }
I always try to meet with couples before I capture their weddings. We meet for a cup of tea, have a chat and just hang out for a bit, so I can find out more of their plans for the Big Day, but also just because it’s fun. And then when I rock up and spend more time with them than anyone else on their wedding, it kinda feels like we are already mates, and I’m not just some random ‘hired help’. I had only fleetingly met Amanda and Bryce when I photographed their friends wedding quite a few years ago, but never got to meet up with them again until the day of the wedding. Amanda first contacted me a couple of years ago asking if I traveled to Fiji for weddings. (Yes was my answer of course!) But before we had a chance to meet up the plans got changed to the Southern Highlands. And then the date got pushed back a year as they welcomed in their beautiful little boy Beau. Finally Amanda and Bryce settled on a date and a location, the Audley Dance Hall. But it was a wedding worth waiting for!
Amanda and her lovely bridesmaids got ready at Hill Top in Deer Park in the Royal National Park, while Bryce and his lads suited up in a cute old cottage in Bundeena. Beau, their little guy was the absolute best behaved baby I have ever seen at a wedding. He was smiley and happy all day – with literally no sleep!
Amanda looked absolutely radiant in her Wendy Makin dress,so it was no wonder that Bryce slowly crumbled with emotion seeing his beautiful bride walk down the aisle to meet him. You only need to look at their photos to see that these are two genuine, kind, caring people. Bel kept saying they both had the “kindest eyes” and she isn’t wrong, Bryce and Amanda spent their entire wedding making sure everyone was happy, well fed, watered and comfortable. I guess having parents like this explains why Beau is such a gorgeous boy!
Amanda was the kind of Bride that didn’t need any convincing to get a bit adventurous, climbing rocks and adventuring in the bush with no worries. We then had a heap of fun with the old rowboats in Audley and it was a nice chance to relax and have fun with the bridal party before heading up to the Dance Hall to celebrate with the guests.
This wedding has been a long time coming, but it was one of the most relaxed, memorable and happy occasions I have had the pleasure of being a part of. Thanks Bryce and Amanda!
